MILK INC ontmoet zijn fans in het hele land!De Nationale Loterij heeft een krasbiljet op de markt gebracht waarop de popgroep Milk Inc staat afgebeeld. Naar aanleiding daarvan zullen de groepsleden Regi en Linda op zaterdag 11 september 2010 een ontmoeting hebben met hun fans in de vorm van een uitzonderlijke handtekeningensessie in vier verkooppunten van de Nationale Loterij. Al bijna vijftien jaar is Milk Inc één van ‘s lands populairste groepen. Hun concerten in het Antwerpse Sportpaleis zijn steevast uitverkocht, en er gingen intussen al twee miljoen van hun albums over de toonbank: dat kan volstaan als bewijs van hun bekendheid en hun visibiliteit in het héle land. De samenwerking tussen Milk Inc en de Nationale Loterij vormt een boeiend initiatief dat de bedoeling heeft om te trachten een specifiek publiek te bereiken door middel van een aantrekkelijk krasbiljet dat maar liefst 50.000 euro kan opleveren!! Om die samenwerking te vieren, heeft de Nationale Loterij gevraagd dat Milk Inc ontmoetingssessies zou houden met hun fans. Brabanthal Leuven - definitief gecanceldDe “ Milk Inc.’s Christmas Party” van woensdag 22 december 2010 in de Brabanthal in Leuven zal niet doorgaan en wordt ook niet verplaatst naar een latere datum. We hadden gehoopt dit optreden te kunnen organiseren daar we van de oorspronkelijke organisator per aangetekend schrijven de toezegging gekregen hadden dat hij de reeds ontvangen gelden aan ons zou overmaken onder aftrek van het bedrag dat hij terugbetaald had aan mensen die klacht ingediend hadden. Dit bedrag zou dan, samen met de bijkomende inkomsten uit extra ticketverkoop, voldoende zijn om de onkosten te dekken die de organisatie van een dergelijk concert met zich meebrengt. Tegen de oorspronkelijke organisator lopen vele klachten wegens oplichting. Indien U een kaart gekocht heeft en U wenst Uw geld terug kan U best ook een klacht indienen. Er werd een dossier geopend bij de Leuvense Politie onder referentie LE20L1264409. We betreuren ten zeerste deze gang van zaken maar zien momenteel geen andere oplossing om onze rechten te vrijwaren en de voortgang van het onderzoek niet te schaden. We zullen jullie via mailing of via onderstaande websites op de hoogte houden van het vervolg van dit dossier. |

Prince organiseert aftershow met Belgische Soul & Funk sensaties N8N en Stijn!N8N & Stijn, beiden Prince-fans in hart en nieren, beiden muzikant/performer. Hoe kan het dan ook anders of deze twee heren lopen elkaar in de backstage van Werchter Boutique net voor de show van Prince tegen het lijf. N8N wist Stijn te vertellen dat Prince mogelijk na zijn concert een kleine aftershow wou geven. Na het spetterende concert in Werchter was het wachten op een GO van de Paarse Prins.. Het leek allemaal niet door te gaan tot N8N rond half één van de tourmanager te horen kreeg dat hij een aftershow wou geven ! Een paar telefoontjes later was “Viage”, de club in het nieuwe Brusselse casino geregeld als locatie, werd de backline van Ghent Jazz overgebracht en kon heel de entourage richting Brussel vertrekken. Prince Aftershow was a GO! Misschien nog even melden dat Daniel Romeo (Producer van N8N) 10 minuten lang met Prince soundcheckte. Prince achter de Drums & Daniel op de Guitar. Stijn werd ingeschakeld om de radio’s & Die Hard Prince-fans op de hoogte te brengen, N8N spamde Facebook & Twitter en een uur later stonden er een 400 fans aan de ingang op Anspachlaan 30. Om half vier gingen de deuren open en speelden Prince, Larry Graham & co twee uur en twintig minuten lang de pannen van het dak. BRABANTHAL OPTREDEN MILK INC. VERSCHOVEN VAN 8 MEI NAAR 22 DECEMBERIn een eerdere mededeling hebben we bericht dat het uitgestelde optreden in de Brabanthal in Leuven van 20 maart 2009 zou doorgaan op 8 mei 2010. De kaarten die jullie daarvoor gekocht hadden zouden dan gewoon geldig blijven. We werden echter de laatste 2 weken geconfronteerd met verschillende problemen: mensen die hun kaarten hadden weggegooid en vroegen of ze andere kaarten konden krijgen, anderen konden hun kaarten niet meer afprinten op de link die ze doorgekregen hadden, voor sommigen was het niet duidelijk hoe het zat met de naamsverandering. Daarop kwamen nog bijkomende logistieke problemen in verband met extra kaartenverkoop en onverwachte berichten van de oorspronkelijke organisator. Na overleg met de verschillende betrokken partijen zagen we geen andere uitweg dan het concert uit te stellen naar 22 december 2010. Iedereen die voor het oorspronkelijk optreden via mail kaarten besteld heeft zal hierover een bericht krijgen. |

We don’t sound like your latest major release, but then again, we are not competing with them. We never were. We are very stubborn when it comes to writing our music. Everyone in this band has specific ideas about the things we want to do and more importantly, about the things we don’t want to do. Some people can hear that in every new song. There is no set pattern, no textbook ‘a school of Quiet sound’, except for the absence of rules maybe. This is not intentional, it is just the way we do it. Music from ‘a school of Quiet’ is just like any other music. Subjected to the judgement of untouchable things like ‘the audience’, ‘the market’, ‘the record label’, ‘the publisher’, ‘the manager’, ‘the booker’, etc… Some of these are good and even great, others were getting outdated. I think many bands are still waiting for the industry to ‘catch up’ with the online events of the past 10 years. We no longer see the point in waiting for others, our music will be available to you and we hope you will share it with others as much as possible because that is why we write it.
